9 Patch Exchange Quilt

From 2001 to 2002, I participated in a 9 patch block exchange with other quilters from around the world via rec.crafts.textiles.quilting. Every month a new color was selected and we each made enough 9 patch blocks for everyone on the list and then exchanged them. Then everyone received a whole bunch of different blocks. The finished squares were supposed to be 2" square, with the finished block being 6" x 6" when sewn into a quilt.

This queen-sized quilt used some the 9 patch blocks in a black window frame with green binding. Alternating white blocks have four different patterns of hand quilting in them. This quilt is still being handquilted.
