Simple waistcoat
is single breasted, plain front and back without darts,
front faux collar, back slit to waist. Understitched most of the seams to help
keep lining from showing. Added welted front pockets.
Used an interlining for the front.

Waistcoat length is longer than what was worn in the 1800s and will
work with modern pants. (High waisted trousers would be needed for
shorter length waistcoats.)

Sage brocade with same fabric on collar, gray cotton lining, pearl-look with silver buttons.
A welting accident involving uncontrolled snippety scissors has been fixed
with a leaf-like patch on the left front.

Red and gold brocade with same corn gold collar has facing for collar, cotton lining,
and gold-toned buttons.
