Reproduction 1910s Evening Dress - Blue Twins. Laughing Moon #104.

2012 was the anniversary of the 1912 Titanic sinking tragedy. Several events were held that year with a 1912 theme. I made several dresses using Laughing Moon pattern #104 as a base.

List of Dresses

Pattern Base

Laughing Moon #104 1909 - 1913 Day or Evening Dress
The shoulders on this are wide for this pattern. If you have a small back or narrow shoulders, you may need to make an adjustment.
The historical back hook and eye closures are impossible to dress oneself. So, on subsequent dresses, various invisible zippers and bodice/belt coverings to hide the closures were tried.

Orange Silk

Orange dupioni silk with embroidered net overlay has purple silk belt and and pink silk cutout accents. Matching headband and reticule were made.
Dress was worn at the GBACG Titanic Dinner event
