1500s Reproduction Madder Tudor Kirtle
Madder was a type of red-colored dye that was used in the Tudor time period. The pink blossom wool
looked like it could be in a range of madder dyes from the time period so it was made into
a Tudor Kirtle.

Kirtle
Madder/pink wool kirtle with cotton twill lining, has synthetic cable tie bones in the
boned bodiced, and laces up the sides. Front skirt is pleated and back skirt is cartridge pleated.
Skirt is handsewn to bodice.
